What is the difference between Pro Rata and Fixed Entitlements?

The Pro-Rata/Fixed Entitlements area in an Employee Profile - Entitlements will determined how the leave will be generated.

  • Pro-Rata Leave Accrual: The employee will generate entitled leave based on the amount of Ordinary hours they have worked in the pay period/payslip.
  • Accrual Fixed to Weekly Ordinary Hours: The employee will generate entitled leave based on the Ordinary hours set in their Employee Profile.

A reminder that only payslip items that have been classed as Normal will generate entitlements on the hours for Pro-Rata

To change this setting navigate to Menu > Settings > Employees > click edit for the applicable employee > Employee Profile, under Entitlements - Pro-Rate/Fixed Entitlements.
