How to Link Microkeeper to the ATO for Single Touch Payroll?

You need to tell the ATO that Microkeeper has permission to send them data. You do this through ATO Access Manager.

Step 1: Copy Software ID

  • Go to Settings > General > Global > Single Touch Payroll
  • Copy your Software ID.

Step 2: Log In

  • Go to the ATO Access Manager.
  • Log in using your myGovID. (Note: You must be the "Principal Authority" or an "Authorised Administrator" in RAM to do this).

Step 3: Nominate Your Software

  • On the left-hand menu, select My hosted SBR software services.
  • Click the button Notify the ATO of your hosted service.

Step 4: Search and Link

  • Search for Microkeeper
  • Click on our ABN link once it appears in the search results.
  • Enter the Software ID (SSID): Paste the ID you copied from your payroll software in Phase 1.
  • Click Next, review the details, and click Save.

Pro Tip: If you find the online portal confusing, you can also link your software by calling the ATO directly on 1300 852 232. You'll need your ABN and that Software ID handy.
